Who is a Brave Changer?

Before I made this blog, I already had the name Brave Change Nutrition selected. In fact, the name came long before the creation of this blog, and it wasn’t until 2023 that I purchased bravechangenutrition.com as my domain. Purchasing the domain was my first real step in committing to this name, this blog, and what I believe in. What first started as name, became an idea, then a dream, and now a reality. Dreams do not have to be grandiose or extravagant. Dreams do not need to reach a certain level before they become meaningful. The dream is enough because you dreamed them.

Before purchasing this domain and starting this blog, I contended with fear. I was afraid of how my blog would be received. I was uncertain about the type of judgement that would be passed. Would my content be good enough? I found myself in front of a word that has always followed me like a shadow:

                                                                                                                               Worthy.

These fears and insecurities all boiled down to worthiness. When I saw the fear for what it was, just a fear laden with what-ifs, that did not provide a justifiable or reasonable cause to not start this blog.

The voice that says, “you can’t” might be loud, but the voice that says “you can” is strong.  Strength will always outlast noise.  It was then I knew, Brave Change Nutrition needed to be out in existence. I realized that it didn’t matter if I had not a clue about web design. It didn’t matter if I lacked an outline of prepared blog posts. All that would come with time, but I had to commit myself to this first step before I could complete all other steps. As a person who loves to control and be prepared, this was a very scary moment. It was the notion of  committing myself to something that I couldn’t quite see the end of. This would be a test of trusting the process, which admittedly, is something I still work on daily.

All I knew was I needed to make this space for myself, and ultimately for you.

This blog then started to represent exactly what Brave Change Nutrition is all about, feeling the fear and doing it anyway. Pushing past the comfort zone and entering into a place of unknown and uncertainty, which takes strength. Making changes takes bravery, and that is how Brave Change Nutrition was born. Change is uncomfortable and messy and scary, but at the same time, change is beautiful and powerful and sometimes the best thing we never knew we needed. Beyond the bravery it takes to make nutrition changes, because that does have its relevance here, no matter how big or small the change may be, one must be brave to make the change. I truly believe we all have the strength to make our brave changes, and if you can make your brave change, you have just become a Brave Changer

I often say, if you don’t want to change, change will happen for you. Life is full of curve balls and crossroads, and it is only a matter of time until facing a change. It’s inevitable, but it is survivable.

You are a Brave Changer, and by that name, you have the capacity to make your brave changes.

So make them.
